Natural Sunscreen- Protect Your Skin & Your Health

Sunscreen

Living in Phoenix it is sunny sunny all year round. Which is lovely for a lot of reasons, but not always so lovely for our skin. Like when the sun comes through your car window and you wonder what that smell is and your realize you’re cooking like an ant under a magnifying glass.

While I know I should wear sun screen (to help prevent skin cancer & aging), up till recently I rarely have because: its oily, expensive for the good (natural) stuff and the cheap stuff is just chemically & gross.

But, I think I’ve found a solution- affordable, natural and non-oily sunscreen!

I just started using the “Natural No Sun Lotion” from the All Natural Face. It feels good going on (lightweight, not greasy and dissolves right away- no white or purple face). It’s also very natural and totally affordable- currently only $8.00 for 8 oz. (also available in 4oz and 2oz sizes). SPF 44 too.

Oh, and shipping for my sunscreen plus an eyeshadow was only $1.75. And she gave me a free lip gloss sample. Awesome! Of course the sample was Strawberry Gloss and I’m allergic to strawberries but decided to wear it anyway which made my lips all tingly (in a bad way). But hey, it was free!

Anyhoo, remember to love your skin and protect it from damage. When buying a sunscreen, pick one that is as wholesome for you as you can. Your skin absorbs about 65% of the chemicals you apply to it, which go right into your bloodstream.

If you couldn’t technically eat it, (not saying it’d taste good) it probably shouldn’t go on your skin…as demonstrated by my strawberry lip gloss.

TIP– when buying sunscreen or any other cosmetic or body product, check it and/or its ingredients out at the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Cosmetic Database to see if it’s safe and natural.
